Join us for a weekend of masterclasses, performances, lessons, and socializing with DUO MUNDI GEORGE & GULI!  We welcome this extraordinary piano duo to Ann Arbor!

All Events are free.  There will be a suggested donation.

All events will be at the Faber Piano Institute, except Saturday afternoon at the University of Michigan, School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Thursday April 4 

11:00am Presentation: “The Art of Pedaling from Bach to Billy Joel”

Friday April 5

9:30-11:30am: “Making Music Beyond Borders: Renewed Expectations for Adult Piano Students”, workshop for adult students and teachers

12:30-2:00pm: “Teaching Multi-layered Rhythms of the African Diaspora”, workshop for piano teachers

2:30-5:00pm: Private lessons

6:30pm: Party with students (middle school and highschool students)

7:30pm: Recital Featuring Latin American Music: “Latin Fire: Samba, Tango, a n d Cha-Cha-Cha.”

Saturday April 6

9:00-11:15am: Masterclass with AAAPTG students (solo and chamber)

12:30-2:00pm: Session with UofM MTNA Collegiate Chapter at the School of Music, Theatre & Dance (Watkins Lecture Hall)

  • 12:30-1:15 pm: “From Two Benches to One: Rhythmic Choreography for One Piano Four Hands”
  • 1:15-2:00 pm: “The Two Worlds of DUO MUNDI GEORGE & GULI” Interview and Q & A: Rehearsal Techniques for Duo Ensemble

7:30pm: 2-piano recital at the Faber Institute: “Immigration and Opportunity: Music from Elsewhere”

Sunday April 7

9:15-11:30am: Masterclass with AAAPTG students (solo and chamber)
