Biography
Congratulations on choosing to make piano part of your or your child’s life! As you develop piano skills, you learn new ways to appreciate, understand, and express music. You begin finding their musical voice, and music rises up to be more than sound; it’s a language, an art, and a source of joy.
Lessons with me are more than playing beautiful music. Students also learn ways to boost mindfulness, independence, and self-care skills. To stay up-to-date on gold standards for piano pedagogy, I enjoy continuing education: classes, webinars, reading research articles, and learning one-on-one from top international specialists.
In my free time, I enjoy strengthening roots in the community through advocating for students and teachers with special needs, diverse backgrounds, and low income. Other favorite activities include board games, raising monarch butterflies, dog walking, cat walking, and other instruments. Overall, I hope to be a positive influence in students’ piano studies and lives in general.
